Great Is His Faithfulness
The other day, before my intercessors group, I woke up with the song, “Great is His Faithfulness”, playing in my mind. A warm feeling of love spread through my body, and I got out of bed with a spring in my step, a great big smile on my face as I welcomed in the new day. (My version of the song is upbeat and faster than the ones I found on YouTube.)
That song has stayed with me throughout the weeks as I have meditated on and thanked God for his faithfulness. Oh, what joy has filled my soul as I came into his presence in this way.
A few nights ago, as I was trying to fall asleep, I again thanked God for His faithfulness in my life and that of my family. Sleepiness disappeared as my mind filled with how the Father’s love and faithfulness met together (see Psalm 85:10) through the hard times and in the good. I had to get up and spend the next hour or so in thanksgiving, praise and worship with tears of joy flowing. When the peace of Jesus touched me, I knew it was time to go to bed.
Love and Faithfulness
As I studied what the Bible says about God's faithfulness, I discovered that love and faithfulness are mentioned together.
God is faithful because of his great love for us. Jesus is faithful to the Father, and to us, because of love that is so high and long and wide and deep. Love and faithfulness are both fruits of the Spirit, so the more we interact with the Holy Spirit, the more we reflect Jesus in these areas. Love comes first, faithfulness flows out of that love.

Reflecting on God’s Faithfulness
I invite you to consider these questions and embark on a journey of thanksgiving, praise, and worship as you reflect on God's love and faithfulness.
1. Where can you see God’s love and faithfulness beyond your own life?
2. Where has God’s love and faithfulness met in your own life?
3. What scriptures speak to you about the Love and faithfulness of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit?
Share God’s Love and faithfulness with somebody.
Sharing a personal testimony can inspire others to trust in God’s faithfulness, or at least plant a seed for further thought. So once you have in your mind a testimony of God’s love and faithfulness meeting together in your life, ask the Holy Spirit for an opportunity to share it with someone. Be obedient when He says, "Share it and tell your God story." You never know how God will use your testimony to touch and encourage that person.
Let me know the one thing you got out of this blog post, and lets celebrate the Fathers love and faithfulness together.

My Prayer for You
May God’s incredible love and faithfulness never leave you. May you bind them round your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart, so you will win favour and a good name in the sight of God and man. (based on Proverbs 3:3-4)
May you praise the Lord and make music so the name of the Most High is glorified. May you proclaim the love of the Father and Jesus in the morning, and their incredible faithfulness at night. (based on Psalm 92:1-2)
May love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control be evident in your life, as you spend time in the Father’s presence, with the help of the Holy Spirit, as an ambassador for Jesus. I ask these things in the name of our loving and faithful Lord and Saviour, Jesus. Amen
