Prayers and Blessings for the New Year for you

A new year has begun.

I suggest you make yourself comfortable as this is a long blog post.

Paul's greetings inspired me in Colossians 1:3-4 as I thanked God and started praying for my fellow believers. which of course includes you.

"We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God's people."

I asked our loving heavenly Father what I should pray for you. I got rather excited as the Holy Spirit answered me. It was like a waterfall of blessings that cascaded from my heart, the prayers kept coming.

I pray you will feel the love of the Father as you read these prayers.

May 2025 be filled with blessings and an increased knowledge of God's incredible love, grace and peace.

My Prayers For You

Vision: I pray the Lord grants you a fresh vision for the coming year. May the wind of His Holy Spirit blow on you afresh, bringing clarity and purpose in everything you set your hand to.

Plans: As you make your plans and submit them to the Lord, I pray for His blessings upon them. May supernatural expansion and His favour be upon you, ordering your steps and giving you the wisdom needed for your plans to succeed.

Trust in the Lord: I pray for an increased measure of faith as you hold onto the promises of God. May your prayer life be vibrant, filled with God's heart of love, knowing that nothing is impossible for Him. May you grow in the authority God has given you as His representative and messenger.

Gifts and Talents: I pray that you flourish in the talents and gifts God has given you, bringing glory to God the Father. May the creative gifts that have been dormant be awakened and developed.

Work/Study: I pray that the favour of the Lord rests upon you as you work or study with diligence and integrity. May you prosper in your endeavours with God-given insights and strategies to improve your work and place of work.

Wisdom: I pray that you seek wisdom in every area of your life. Ask for it, seek it, and even invest in the knowledge you need for specific situations. May the wisdom contained in the Bible come alive to you.

Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness: I pray that you have a deep hunger and thirst for righteousness, seeking to live a life that honours God in every way.

Protection: I pray that the Lord protects you and keeps you. Put on the whole armour of God, stand firm, and pray. Guard your heart and mind, keeping them in Christ Jesus. Be tuned into the voice of the Holy Spirit to know which way to go in difficult situations and to resist the devil so he will flee.

Revelations of God's Word: I pray for revelation upon revelation as you read, meditate on, and study God's living word this coming year. May you grow in His love, overflow with His joy, receive His peace, and walk in the grace of our Lord Jesus.

Sharing the Good News: I pray that you will take the opportunities God gives you to share the truth of the love of Jesus and his saving grace with many people. I pray you will be instrumental in leading at least one person to the saving grace of Jesus this year. I pray you will also prepare the ground in prayer, sow the seeds of the word of God, and water the seeds others have planted as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Health: 3 John 1:2 says it best. "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." I pray for wisdom from heaven to help you maintain or regain your health. I pray you would persist in prayer for the healing grace Jesus demonstrated while on earth and paid for with the stipes he received before he went to the cross.

Thanksgiving and praise: I ask that 2025 will be a year where thanksgiving will overflow from your lips, leading you into praise and worship. May you recognise the many blessings in your everyday life.

Courage: I pray you will be courageous and step out in faith as the Holy Spirit leads you. May you know the Lord's peace and presence through the storms, and may Jesus be your strong tower and place of refuge this year.

Family and Relationships: I pray for your family and all the relationships involved in that. May you communicate well, find things to laugh about, overcome difficulties together, forgive those in your family who hurt you, and bless them. May your words be words of life in every relationship, releasing encouragement, truth, and hope.

I ask these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
