This month, I want to encourage you to persevere in prayer.
May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.
2 Thessalonians 3:5
What a powerful prayer.
Whether you are praying for a loved one's healing, a financial breakthrough, or the salvation of someone, keep lifting these people or situations in prayer with an expectant heart. God is faithful. Let God fill you with his love, enabling you to persevere in prayer with Jesus.
I want to share my testimony of persevering in prayer for over forty years for my Mum.
I hope it will encourage you.

A Testimony of Persevering in Prayer
"Rosanne, well done. You have been a good and faithful daughter." were the words I heard from our heavenly Father after my mother died last month.
I had been faithful as a daughter, taking my Mum out, visiting her, meeting her needs for the last eight years and making her life more enjoyable while she was in the rest home.
My heavenly Father was also saying I was his faithful daughter. I had completed the task of praying for and caring for my Mum. I honoured her and shared the gospel with her through words and deeds. I challenged her new-age beliefs while loving and believing the best for her.
I have been praying for my Mum to meet Jesus and to experience the saving grace he provides since I became a Christian more than forty years ago.
Contending for my Mum's salvation became easier as I prayed through the 40-day Targeted Prayer Challenge: Purposefully Praying for the Lost and the Found. I was on day 34 when she passed away. Mum was the main reason I was doing the challenge again. I Knew it would be my last chance to intercede for her.
God was faithful. He heard my many prayers over the years and saw my heart's desire to see Mum come to Jesus and be saved, which was also His heart's desire.
My Heavenly Father wanted my Mum to have eternal life in Jesus. He did not want her to perish. He desired it even more than I did while still respecting the free will he had given her.
I was the last person to see my Mum alive. I took Jesus into the room with her, and he never left her.
I did not lead her to Jesus, but I am confident God did everything possible to bring her to eternal life with Jesus, in the final minutes of her life.
My Prayer for You
May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance as you pray for the people you love.
May you be led by the Spirit for each person and situation you pray for.
May you pray with faith and expectancy, knowing that God is faithful.
May you to hear those words when you complete your God given mission, "Well done, good and faithful son or daughter."
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen (based on 2 Thessalonians 3:5)
Let me know if my testimony of God's faithfulness has encouraged you to persevere in prayer for the people and situations you are contending for.
